Christians love the phrase "There's more evidence for Jesus than for Julius Caesar." It succinctly sums up all the various apologetics about manuscripts and eyewitnesses into a catchphrase that makes Jesus sound like an inevitable historical figure.

However, while it sounds compelling to Christians, this statement relies on a few basic misconceptions about historical methodology that are embarrassingly obvious once they're pointed out. Thus I have chosen to point them out in this video.
