Seagulls Gather | The Woman In Black by Susan Hill Book Review @SeagullsGather | Uploaded December 2021 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
My review of the 1983 novel 'The Woman in Black' by Susan Hill - A gcse favourite across the UK. The Woman in Black is a gothic ghost story set in the Edwardian period. Arthur Kipps, a solicitor, is sent to conclude the affairs of Mrs Drablow, an elderly recluse, after her death. He finds a village over run with superstition, ghosts and things that go bump in the night. A classic horror tale written in a victorian style.
