The series I'd like to recommend today is The Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold. Featuring Miles Vorkosigan and his incredible family of over achievers, this space opera is one of my all time favorites. Come for the interplanetary hijinks! Stay for the fine writing.
