In vanilla wow there was Dark Cleric Salem's Chest, an object in the open world in the Tirisfal glades, that could not be opened and was guarded by scarlet crusade members. This is a named NPC nearby named Lieutenant Sanders, but if you kill him, he drops no loot. There was in the game files, a key called “Key to Salem's Chest”, which simply stated it opened said chest. However this key was never added to the game, and the chest was quietly removed from the game in the Cata revamp.
