I have had a lot of burgers in my life. Some great, some not so great. This one took me by complete surprise. The idea of a salmon burger is intriguing for sure. Fish sandwiches are great, for the most part, but what about a proper salmon burger? I had to find out! I think you'll like it. Buns, fried fish and a special lemon garlic aioli sauce. That is how you make a great salmon burger. Enjoy!
Salmon Cakes Recipe:
3/4-pound cooked salmon fillet
3 tbsp Mayo
1/8 cup Plain Bread Crumbs
1 Green Onion, root end removed, thinly sliced
1 stalk of celery, chopped
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Chesapeake Bay Seasoning
Salt and Pepper
3/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs for breading
1/2 cup Plain Bread Crumbs for breading
1/2 to 3/4 cup Oil for frying
Lemon Garlic Aioli
3 tbsp Mayo
1/2 tsp Jarlic (minced garlic in the little glass jars)
1/2 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
Pinch of Black Pepper
Stir to combine. Let sit refrigerated for 10-15 minutes before use.
