This year marks the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the ore freighter Edmund Fitzgerald, which sank during a storm in Lake Superior on the 10th of November, 1975. The Edmund Fitzgerald is among the largest and best-known vessels lost on the Great Lakes. Her legacy lives on to this day, in books, museums, documentaries and even music. This animation is dedicated to all of the 29 crew who lost their lives on that night.
