It is a beautiful, highly productive day on the farm, and we are putting in the work to care for the land we’ve been blessed with.
We start the morning by hooking up the heavy brush-hog to our New Holland TN70SA tractor so Chuck can knock down the tall growth in the large front meadow. This isn't just for looks—Chuck breaks down the rotational pasture management strategy behind keeping this field healthy for when the cattle return. While the tractor is humming, the action splits to the garden where Saundra is handling heavy summer maintenance: staking peppers, pruning and staking tomatoes, and harvesting fresh peas.
Later, Saundra fires up the garden tiller to cultivate the corn and potato rows. Once the mowing is done, Chuck joins her for a candid conversation about what it truly means to take pride in your farm. He shares some deep "tractor thoughts" about how keeping a property neat isn't about vanity—it’s about respect, work ethic, and honoring the responsibility that God has entrusted to us as stewards of this land.
