Each new like and subscriber gives me a bit of my sanity back :D
Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have plenty of mysteries and interesting pieces of lore to discover. We found out that Experiment 1006 is the Prototype, rather than Huggy Wuggy, as well as more information about how the experiments on the toys went and what Poppy is like.
However, one mystery that’s existed since the first chapter of Poppy Playtime is the meaning behind the game’s death screens. The randomized messages are often interpreted to be Poppy and potentially some other characters speaking to the Player when they die in the game, but to me it seems likely that there’s something more. Just what do the Poppy Playtime death messages mean? Something happened to the Playtime Co employees, of which the Player was one. Who, or what, is the Player, and why did they bother coming back to the factory? These questions may be answerable using the Poppy Playtime death screens as reference.
I should note that I haven’t seen any theories from within a week of this video going up (the Poppy Playtime Game Theory that MatPat released on 5/29 comes to mind especially, but there are others as well), so if someone else has already covered this topic or debunked my theory, I wouldn’t know XD.
