If you are looking for an all-around good focal length for anamorphic, I believe this is it right here. This full-frame 50mm Anamorphic lens actually gives you a 28mm field of view, in the Anamorphic world, so it is perfect for indie filmmakers. Of course, you'll need a full-frame sensor camera to get the widest field of view. Keep in mind that if you are using a Super 35 or crop sensor camera, your field of view will be tighter.

The lens is pretty robust and well-built. As you'll see from the footage, it produces beautiful anamorphic images. I don’t often get to shoot anamorphic for the types of shoots I am involved in, so I was really happy when I can step away from spherical lenses and do something with more character.
