This hymn was composed by Alexey Lvov (1798-1870); this was sung by the Orthodox Singers Male Choir directed by G. Smirnov founded in 1992. The best singers of Moscow churches and monasteries are invited here for taking part at the festive divine services and concerts.

Sadly I cannot find any lyrics for this hymn, but basing on the title and the melody itself it sounds like a hymn for lent.
