ℹ️ We take a short detour off of the Camino de Santiago del Norte to visit the town of Oviedo. In 814 Alfonso II began the first pilgrimage from this point to see the remains of Saint James for himself and later declared that all pilgrims stop here on their way to Santiago de Compostela. We then move back to the Camino del Norte to the pit stop of Gijon to enjoy the sites and some more cidre!
