“With Dead Circuits, the club mix of my new double-single Second Skin (the industrial-metal version Live Matter will be out very shortly), I wanted to re-imagine it for the club — heavier, darker, and more relentless, a fusion of industrial electronics and heavy modern production. The track is about shedding the weight of the past, and stepping into renewal with an unforgiving pulse, all that energy channelled through pounding beats and distorted electronics. It’s both a nod to my electronic foundations as The Marquis, and a step forward into the new sonic identity of The Marquis is Dead.”
