The Locust played the San Diego premiere of Cecil B. Demented by John Waters. The film stars Melanie Griffith as a snobby A-list Hollywood actress who is kidnapped by a band of terrorist filmmakers; they force her to star in their underground film. Stephen Dorff stars as the eponymous character and leader of the group, with Alicia Witt, Adrian Grenier, Michael Shannon, and Maggie Gyllenhaal co-starring as the rest of his gang of filmmakers.
This footage was the fist show the band played as a four piece, after Dave Astor left, and Gabe Serbian moved from guitar to drums. The band candidly played in adult diapers, as a nod to their comrade in the art world, John Waters. The performance took place at the Hillcrest Landmark Theaters back in 2000.
