Today we are taking a look at the story of a young girl named Alessa Gillespie, a fantatical cult and a quiet little resort town called Silent hill.
When Konami tasked team Silent with the impossible task of creating a horror game to compete with Capcom’s Resident Evil with only a fraction of the budget, nobody expected them to succeed.
What they created, however, was a horror experience that was not only equal too but maybe even surpassed Capcom’s survival horror masterpiece. The first Silent hill game is a gem of the playstation one era and told an incredible tale of a man trying to find his daughter in a literal nightmare.
With the game being a massive success the public and of course Konami wanted more. With the advent of the Playstation 2, sequels that could take advantage of its much greater power were very much on the cards. Silent Hill 2 took things in a different direction to tackle some difficult issues with continuing such a complicated story but 3 is the direct sequel many fans wanted.
So let’s take control of Heather, a young teenage girl trapped in a nightmare of her own, and walk with her once again through the streets of that quiet forgotten town near Toluca Lake.
Once more ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to Silent Hill.
