As a game genre that is more than 20 years old, the current farming simulator game has not yet received a gameplay leap that pampers its users, each game developer is still trying to experiment in improving the quality of the gameplay from the farming simulation which is currently becoming generic. One of them is by changing the outline instead of staying in a limited village, some of them try to wake up by expanding the gameplay interaction into an open world game, for example Harvest Moon: One World from Natsume which carries the concept, but unfortunately in execution, instead of expanding the gameplay HM: One World still provides many limitations in its gameplay.

Carrying the same concept outline, Zoyji as a solo game developer opened a kickstarter farming game with an open world theme called The Gods Fabled: Soil Frontier. Where you as a player are asked to help an abandoned city, Paleeto Town by Major Bolkido and some of the remaining residents there to be able to help restore the town to its former glory. Not just sitting in one place, the game asks you as a player to be able to explore a vast open world, with various unrevealed secrets and mysteries waiting for you.

Of course, as an open game, some adjustments and other new features were added, for example instead of providing seasonal crops like other farming games, the plants in this game are more dependent on the surrounding conditions. This means that every plant that exists technically can indeed be planted at any time of the year, but every plant has a minimum or maximum limit to obtain conditions so that the plant can survive or vice versa, die. For example too much moisture will cause some plants to rot, or not getting enough sunlight per day and some plants will not grow to their full size, until temperatures are too cold and some will never mature, and so on.

That's just from the plant side, there are many other features that Zoyji brings to the game The Gods Fabled: Soil Frontier ranging from animals, various character customizations, crafting, combat with several enemies when exploring the world to of course mandatory features such as socialization in the game.As a solo developer, of course this game would not be possible without your support, therefore, for those of you who are interested and want to support this game, you can visit or participate in kickstarter funding on the page below.
