This Jerome Kern tune from 1937 is even more beautiful if you know the lyrics. It is about a couple who build a shiny new home on a hill top, have an almost idyllic life raising children in a beautiful setting, then, upon growing old, and after the kids have long since left, still want to be called "the folks who live on the hill."
I have played this many times over the years, but this is the first on Ruby's Red Piano.
