Day 8
I ran into a monkey who guided me to the Palace of Darkness. He even opened the way for me, but I did have to pay him a lot of rupees to do it.
The Palace of Darkness was a dark and foreboding place. There were monsters here that I had never seen before. Some of them had tough shells that the Master Sword couldn't break.
Eventually, I found a hammer that was able to defeat those creatures. I even found a very big monster with a mask on. I had to chip it off with the hammer while avoiding fire. The monster was fast, but once I got its mask off, I plunged my sword right into the jewel on its head.
A small crystal appeared after the monster vanished. As soon as I touched it, a vision flashed before me. There was a girl inside the crystal. She told me her name was Ariel and she was one of the maidens who was sent to the Dark World. I asked how I could break her out of the crystal. She said that she'll only be free once Ganon is destroyed and I have the Triforce.
Ariel told me that Ganon was once a thief who broke into the Golden Land and claimed the Triforce. Ganon is who I need to destroy in order to gain the Triforce.
Ariel told me that I can't stop Ganon without help from the rest of the maidens, so she told me where the others were. Zelda is at a place called Turtle Rock. I don't think I can go there quite yet as Ariel said Turtle Rock is located on a stormy mountain. I will need more tools if I'm to save her.
I'm hoping to head to the Swamp Palace to the south. I'm keeping the crystal with me. Ariel will remain safe with me.
