The Dallas Card Show came to the Cincinnati area—and last weekend I headed across the river to Covington, Kentucky, to check it out!
I had a great time walking the show and hanging out with my buddies Tyler from 5 Cent Wax and Chris from Missouri—the Big Stix crew back together at another card show!
There were way more Pokémon cards and a little less vintage baseball than I expected, but I still managed to uncover a great addition to my Cincinnati Reds collection: a scarce 1921–23 E220 National Caramel Edd Roush card!
Roush is one of my all-time favorite Reds. He was a two-time National League batting champion, helped Cincinnati win the 1919 World Series, and was inducted into both the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. With only a small number graded by SGC, I was thrilled to bring this piece of baseball history home.
