Stanley Kubrick kept practically everything: photographs, correspondence, research material—the working papers of a mind that reshaped what movies could do. When creating a set to house Kubrick’s entire filmography, we didn’t want a box that merely held the films; we wanted one inspired by the archive itself.
In this video, visual artist Drusilla Adeline of Sister Hyde Design walks us through the color, typography, and other design decisions that transformed a wide array of materials drawn from the director’s legendary archive into a single object worthy of display.
