This knitting tutorial shows you how to knit cartridge belt ribbing. This simple stitch is perfect for beginners because it's entirely formed using knit stitches and slip stitches. The resulting ribbed fabric is stretchy, reversible & squishy, and looks great on all kinds of projects like scarves and hats.
The reason this is mock ribbing is that it doesn't use both knit and purl stitches, unlike 'genuine' ribbing.
