Ever since I was eight years old I have been obsessed with crafting little dioramas and wargaming scenery from Lord of the Rings, mostly because of seeing the WΔtΔ Workshop team working on the massive Bigatures made for the films. These bigatures were just incredible, 72 massive models of a bunch of locations from the 7metres Tall minas Tirith at 1/72 scale, to a fully watertight third scale Grey Havens Elven ship, they were an essential part of Peter Jacksonβs gritty realist aesthetic for the films, and just a massive source of inspiration for a young crafter. It has been a long term fantasy of mine to be able to see these massive bigatures in the flesh, to walk among them and see the ultimate reference for making my own stupidly massive middle earth scenery, Today we take a massive step towards that fantasy.
A massive thank you to everyone at WΔtΔ Workshop for inviting us back, it is just an insanely humbling experience to be able to continue to work with you guys, with a very special shout out to Louise and the unbelievably awesome Jules German for making this all possible.
