Is leaving your car in Sport mode really the best way to accomplish the quickest & fastest times you can possibly run in the 1/4 mile? In this video I spent an entire day at the drag strip testing different methods of shifting gears in my 2018 Audi S4 to find out which way would net me the best results. The following is a list of the 3 methods I used in this video:
Method 1: Car is left in Sport mode and it shifts when the Integrated Engineering Stage 2 TCU was programmed to shift.
Method 2: Car is left in Sport mode until 5th gear at which point I shift the car to Manual mode to stretch out 5th gear to redline.
Method 3: Car is put in Manual mode stretching every gear to redline.
By the end of my day of testing I managed to set a new personal best in the 1/4 mile and I learned another very important lesson about my Audi B9 S4!
Thanks to Kade Scherk for catching all of the action outside of the car!!!
