Here's a BUNCH of O'Keeffe for you - another in our collection of original broadcasts of "unriffed" MST3k movies - here's the complete broadcast of the 1983 film "The Blade Master" (a.k.a. "Ator: The Blademaster") as shown on "The 50 Feature" on WPWR Channel 50 (by all appearances, in the form of a somewhat scratchy 16mm print).
Starring Miles O'Keeffe in the title role, this follow-up to the prior year's "Ator, the Fighting Eagle" sees him and his sidekick Thong (or is it Dong?) (Chen Wong) travel the ends of the earth to save his mentor from the evil Zor (David Cain Haughton). Also starring Lisa Foster and Charles "Beau" Borromel.
This was of course later memorably showcased on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) in 1991, under the mostly inexplicable title "Cave Dwellers." (along with the even more inexplicable opening titles for this version - but enough digression...)
Includes:
Ending credits for "Moonshine County Express" [1977] (with voiceover promo for "Trancers," Bears Fan Talk, and the upcoming wonder that awaits us) (We faded out the end credits before they actually ended in order to get to the main attraction quicker)
Station ID / promo for the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation (main voiceover by Ernie Anderson) (ending voiceover by ??)
