🍌 GOING BANANAS IN WILDWOOD 🍌
The inaugural Sun Bum Banana Eating World Championship definitely lived up to the hype.
15 bananas. Freezing temperatures. One of the coolest trophies Major League Eating has ever put on the line.
The goal was simple: peel and smash 15 bananas as fast as possible. No current record, no blueprint, just pure speed, technique, and chaos.
Pat and I went blow for blow from the very first banana, and it came down to the smallest of margins. In the end, @deepdishbertoletti edged me out by just over two seconds to set a new world record and take home the Golden Sonny trophy.

I might have missed out on the monkey trophy and the pay cheque this time, but finishing every single banana in under two minutes in those conditions was a pretty wild day at the office.
