Now I'm back from my wonderful day out, I have time to add this description and a link to this beautiful place Witley Court and Gardens. We had a fascinating tour and I took lots of footage on my phone that I will put together into a video to upload soon. Behind me in this video is the famous fountain depicting the rescue of Andromeda by Perseus who is on the winged horse Pegasus fighting the Kraken. The two smaller fountains either side depict the Nereids. Bing Crosby wanted to buy this fountain but when they tried to dismantle it they found that the pieces had been joined together using dovetail joints and trying to dismantle it would have destroyed a lot of the parts. Bing Crosby withdrew his bid and the fountain was saved to be the dramatic centre piece of these beautiful gardens. The fountain is turned on every hour on the hour for twenty minutes. The centre fountain reaches a height of 30 metres (98.5 feet roughly).

Today (17th) I phoned Portchester Castle and had a good friendly conversation with them, however, I still need to get the go ahead from the Filming Dept of English Heritage. I have emailed them but they haven't got back yet so I will send another email in case the original has got lost.
