At Edison Nation we work to connect innovators with companies to help bring new products to market, without any risk to the inventor.
Edison Nation reviews all ideas and design contributions, whether it's a sketch on a napkin, a prototype or a patented invention. Innovators can submit ideas to one of our current innovation searches or design challenges, and we'll evaluate it right away. Our product review process is confidential and we're under non-disclosure agreements with all of our licensing partners. Protecting your intellectual property is our top priority.
We are a home to a community of innovators and design contributors. Our product review team expertly evaluates each idea and design contribution submission. We pitch select ideas to our partners. Our goal is to license and develop as many great ideas as we can. New products come to market and our innovators share in the revenue.
Our team looks at a number of different factors including:
• Competing Products
• Uniqueness
• Retail Pricing
• Liability and Safety
• Marketability
• Manufacturing Cost
• Patentability
• Features and Benefits
• Commercial-ability
At Edison Nation, we accept all consumer product ideas at any stage of development for licensing opportunities through our Open Search.
We search for specific new product ideas on behalf of our partners through our targeted Innovation Searches.
We evaluate patented or patent-pending product ideas for licensing opportunities through our Insider Licensing Program.
We evaluate design contributions through our Edison's Design Challenge series.
