rainbowlightstudioAlmost everything we know about Jesus is from the Bible. The four new testament gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John tell us a great deal about the events surrounding His conception and birth. They also provide a lot of details about His ministry in Palestine, and His trial, crucifixion and resurrection, all of which occurred during the last three years of His life. However, they tell us very little about the years in between.
There’s a short account in the gospel of Matthew which tells of how the Holy Family travelled into Egypt shortly after the birth of Jesus. Although the bible doesn’t provide a description of that journey, the details have been preserved in the traditions of the Coptic Christian church and a video account of that journey can be found via this link: youtube.com/watch?v=PNWLD0meU1g
In 1894, a Russian explorer named Nicholas Notovich published a controversial book which claimed that during a journey through the Himalayas, he had visited a Buddhist monastery where he had been shown sacred manuscripts which revealed that Jesus had travelled and preached in India, Tibet and Persia before his ministry in Palestine. This film tells that story of that extraordinary discovery and gives an account of what those manuscripts revealed about Jesus’ journey through those countries.

There have been several such miracles since the first known occurrence in the 8th century and several of these have been examined by forensic experts who have repeatedly confirmed the presence of type AB blood, as well as myocardium (heart muscle) tissue. This podcast provides an account of five of these miracles and the evidence revealed by scientific examination. The Connection Between Science and Spiritualityrainbowlightstudio2023-04-13 | The first in a series of podcasts covering the connection between science and spirituality. There have however been many other lines of scientific research over the years that have provided compelling evidence that the cloth is much older than the 14th century date given by the radiocarbon test. Furthermore, much of this evidence directly connects the cloth to the events commemorated during Easter.
This video outlines a number of these lines of evidence and explains why the samples taken from the Turin Shroud for radiocarbon dating delivered an incorrect result.

(2 of 2)rainbowlightstudio2020-08-09 | The 1988 radiocarbon dating of the Turin Shroud famously dated this cloth to the period 1260-1390AD. At the press conference announcing this result, Professor Hall of Oxford University claimed that, “There was a multi-million pound business in making forgeries during the fourteenth century. Someone just got a bit of linen, faked it up and flogged it!“
.
This announcement was front page news all around the world and today, most people accept that the carbon dating to be conclusive proof that the cloth was a mediaeval forgery. It seems the debate over the authenticity of this famous piece of linen is now over.
Less well known however is the intense criticism that this test attracted from fellow scientists. Indeed one observer claimed that, “The carbon dating of the Shroud will probably go down in history as one of the greatest fiascos in the history of science”.
This video tells the barely believable story of this controversial scientific test, detailing the seemingly endless catalogue of flaws and deficiencies that can be found throughout every stage of the carbon dating process.
Much of the information presented in this video is drawn from a series of articles entitled ‘The Politics of the Radiocarbon Dating of the Turin Shroud’. We would like to thank author Joseph G. Marino for producing this comprehensive historical record of events connected to this controversial scientific test.
