The Bedrotting Simulator playtest is here, and it might be one of the most stressful indie horror games I’ve played. The premise is completely unhinged: you’re trapped in your apartment in the dead of night, scrubbing through encrypted videos and playing weird minigames on your PC just to survive.
But it gets worse. While you’re trying to board up the doors and keep out whatever is knocking, your e-girlfriend is blowing up your phone. If you don't respond and keep her happy, you lose her—but if you take your eyes off the screen for too long, things start breaking into your room. We are playing through the first two nights of the playtest to figure out exactly what happened to our missing friend and, more importantly, how to stay alive.
Sit back, relax, and let's see if we can survive the night without losing our minds... or our relationship.
