Brighton specializes in helping coaches integrate video into their practice. The CCC talk started with understanding why people watch online video: for entertainment, education or inspiration. We then talked about the 9 types of videos professional coaches can use to grow their practice (authenticwestfilms.com/guide.) Then we covered how to use the 90 seconds before you push record to set yourself up for success (http://FabulousVideoChecklist.com.) And finally we took 15 minutes to pair up and record a pair of videos - so each coach got to practice being both the camera person and the on-camera person. After these practice rounds, most coaches are able to record video on their own using the “selfie-camera” on their smartphone.

I’m so grateful that Brighton was here and did a breakout session. I went to it because this is not my sweet spot. And I wanted to learn and grow. Which I did. Our Communications Director for our chapter said “Hey let’s go out and shoot a video” and we put it up on Twitter right away. This is not something that I usually do. It was a great time. I heard so much positive feedback from your session Brighton. Thank you. And I would encourage anybody to attend one of his sessions. It’s great. It’s practical. And even somebody who’s a novice like myself got a lot out of it. Its so timely because our chapter - we’re committed to using more video instead of all print. And even last week I was trying to shoot a video and now I’m just so much more well armed to do that. Thank you.
