The most surprising fact I learned from Terri in our conversation is this:
Only 1 % of unplanned babies are put up for adoption. At this time in history, the two defaults are single parenthood or abortion. About two million U.S. couples are waiting to adopt a child. And yet ... only 18,000 infants are placed for adoption each year.
