"Why Little Girl" is a song by the English rock and roll group Shane Fenton & The Fentones.
It was released in 1962 as the B-side to their single "It's All Over Now."
The song was written by Bernard Jewry (who performed as Shane Fenton) and Fraser. Bernard Jewry later achieved greater fame as the glam rock artist Alvin Stardust.
While "It's All Over Now" peaked at No. 29 on the UK Singles Chart, "Why Little Girl" did not chart independently.
Shane Fenton & The Fentones were formed in Mansfield in 1960.
Interestingly, "Shane Fenton" was a stage name used by two different musicians. The original Shane Fenton, Johnny Theakston, passed away, and Bernard Jewry took on the identity. The group had four Top 40 hits in the UK with Jewry as their lead singer before the rise of the Merseybeat sound.

Louis Parun at the compilation album ''New Zealand Hit Paraders'' (Lexian – LLP-1). he also released it as a single as Louis Parun With The Premiers (Lexian – LS-6) also in 1962.
The Stringers
Danish rock band formed as The Stringers in Copenhagen in 1959 by vocalist and rhytm guitarist Henning Schmager aka. Kenny, lead guitarist Steen Larsen (replaced 1960 by Poul Klarskov Jensen), bassist Lars "Banan" Pedersen, and drummer Allan Sørensen.
Toured Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in the early 1960's and obtained nationwide airplay in 1962 with debut single Never / Why Little Girl (Domino – DO 1064). Became Kenny & The Stringers in spring 1963 when the band was extended with guitarist Jørgen Christensen, leaving Schmager to concentrate on the singing.

Dick Rivers released the song sung in French titled ''Pour Une Fille''. Pierre Saka provided the French lyrics for the song. (Pathé – EG 630, Pathé – 45 EG 630)
