It's important for health to learn how to authentically self-express, to honestly say what you feel to others, to ask for what you want, and to be totally honest about what you don't want. Studies have shown that hospitalized patients who are not afraid to do that are discharged earlier. Although it is important to honestly self-express, it is also important for your health to keep your distance from those people who are not willing or able to hear what you are saying. Some people are toxic to be around; it's best for your health to minimize your exposure to them.
