Continuing my trend of backing up obscure old media, please enjoy this!
Tearfund TV was a package put out by the fundraising group Tearfund in 1995. It was a series of connected sketches framed as a TV broadcast that parodied various English TV shows such as Masterchef, Top Gear and Songs of Praise. The idea was that churches and community centres would 'air' Tearfund TV to raise awareness of the plight of people in third world countries and the things Tearfund is doing to raise money and improve those peoples lives.
Included with the Tearfund TV package was this CD, which has incidental music and sound effects for the sketches, along with people reading the scripts with the appropriate voices and accents to help people know how they should sound when delivering the lines themselves.
Since I can find literally no mention of Tearfund TV anywhere online it's possible this is the only archive of it (outside of me using a lot of this music as stock music in my own videos). So please enjoy!
NOTE: The whole CD rip has been compressed slightly to remove coil hiss. The final four tracks (Street Preacher 1-4) include excessive street noise, and this is normal.
