The Samaritan woman came to the well for physical water, but because the Savior knew her, He perceived that her thirst was much deeper. This training video for Early Morning Seminary teachers explores how we can follow Jesus Christ’s example by striving to understand the backgrounds, needs, and hearts of those we teach.
In this video, you will learn how to:
• Perceive the Need: Look beyond the surface to understand a student's "troubled past" or "unstable relationships," just as the Savior did.
• Connect the Gospel: Use your knowledge of students' interests and talents to help them find "personal meaning and power" in the gospel.
• Seek Revelation: Go beyond observation by praying for the "understanding that only the Spirit can give".
• Quench the Thirst: Discover that once you understand a person’s spiritual thirst, the Spirit can teach you how to "help quench it with the Savior’s living water".
