Shadow of the Colossus - Colossi corpse save shrine (Preview version) Nomad Colossus 2012-03-30 | This is the Preview version and follows on from Pikol's 'Exploring in reminisce mode' video. It's just something weird I noticed a while ago so I thought I'd upload it.Here are the steps:1) Pray at any colossi corpse to go into 'Reminiscence mode'2) Use the debug menu to load the colossus 3 times over3) Leave the arena and head to the nearest save shrine4) Pray at the Save Shrine and save your game5) Reload your game6) When you load the save file you will appear back at the colossi corpse! Pretty cool! I had never seen Wander appear at another area after saving the game. Seems like a unique glitch in the Preview version ; )

Shadow of the Colossus - Wander warped up at Cenobias arena Nomad Colossus 2022-11-14 | I first found this weird glitch by accident way back in October, 2009. I was trying to warp Wander onto Cenobia's head (before it was activated) and eventually succeeded! However, I also came across this glitch that blasted Wander way up into the sky (10 kilometres high)! Wander falls back down and crashes into the death floor (first attempt at the end of the video). Shadow of the Colossus - Viewing the collision surfaces (E3 demo) Nomad Colossus 2022-11-11 | Using Wisi's debug menu, one of the options lets you display the collision surfaces so you can see them in game. This is useful as you can see which cliffs are off limits and which are not etc. So in this video, I ride Agro towards Basaran's arena and showcase some cliffs on the way there.All credit goes to Wisi who took months of hard work to craft the debug menu.

Journey - 2nd stage anomalies Nomad Colossus 2022-10-25 | Credit to 'Paleologos' for his cheat engine file which allowed me to move faster than normal! It turns out that this weird colour change is a side effect (or artifact) of the increased speed code, so I thought this was something new... but it wasn't. Oh well, I decided to post the video in any case.But, at the end of the video, you will see the Journeyman scale walls and warp up to higher levels!Note: This is the Steam version so some sound effects (like the character's 'chirp') aren't working for me in this build... I have yet to fix this issue. Enjoy!

I found it a while ago and only just now decided to look into what it could do. Sadly, I can only teleport to certain areas on the map, most of the time I am warped 'under' the map so Agro falls down to the death floor. But at the moment, the emulator doesn't run the game properly... might have to wait a long time before the PS3 emulator is good enough to run the game. So I found the postion co-ordinates of the secret garden model then moved it down to ground level. I had thought about this before but until now had never even tried it. So while working my way through the PS2 PAL version, triggering the colossi before they are activated, I finally tried to see how Malus first appears. It requires some hacking, but the result is new and never seen before! Check it out ; )

That is, the E3 Demo, US and Preview versions have a fully textured colossus... but in the PAL (PS2) European version, things are very different!

Shadow of the Colossus - Barba before activation (PAL version) Nomad Colossus 2022-07-26 | Wow! There are so many differences in the PAL version that I had never realised before! Here, Barba (6th colossus) only exists in parts before it is triggered, and you can see the strange design of the beard model, which still has collision detection - and even starts the music, as if you are fighting it ; ) There are also the knee pads and rings that hang from the colossus here to see, but the rest is invisible. Very strange.Note: Valus is also like this, but has a weird flickering light effect. I'll upload a video about it as well.
Shadow of the Colossus - Avion intro cutscene - PAL version Nomad Colossus 2022-07-23 | A new perspective I just found... I had never seen the Avion colossus cutscene like this before, which means no one else has either! In the US version, Wander can fly right up to the (non-triggered) Avion with ease... but nothing happens. But in the PAL version, Avion 'triggers' before Wander even gets close to it! The cutscene starts and I have a few seconds to move Wander to get a look at what transpires from a totally new perspective, i.e. from the back of the arena.It seems the PAL (European) version has some surprising new revelations to be explored. Note: The 1st and 2nd bosses were also very different to what we have seen before... Shadow of the Colossus - E3 demo - top of #8s temple has no collison Nomad Colossus 2022-06-29 | If you have watched my videos you will have noticed that one of the most important and 'beloved' arenas for me is the top of #8's temple (Kuromori)! This was one of the first 'Agro launches' I did way back in 2009 (PS2 US version ), then I made it up there again in 2018 for the PS4 version. So I thought I would try it again in the E3 demo version and see what happens. You might be surprised as Wander just falls through the top of the temple! There is no collision detection in this very early version... makes sense I guess.I then Moonjump up onto the temple... but I just fall through it down to the death floor... -300m! Wander dies! Shadow of the Colossus - Malus triggered outside (E3 demo) Nomad Colossus 2022-06-21 | This took me a long time to compile (in the E3 demo). Sadly, I have now discovered that only the final boss (Malus) is able to be triggered at a different location (within the H8 map square)! I thought some other colossi might also be tiggered in this way, but the other 15 trigger where they are supposed to. Even so, it's pretty amazing that I can move Malus to anywhere I want and then 'trigger it'! Enjoy!
Shadow of the Colossus - Malus triggered outside (E3 demo) Nomad Colossus 2022-06-16 | I recently discovered that (in the E3 demo) Malus can be triggered in any location within its own map square. That is, I first have to find the position co-ordinates of Malus (before activation) when it's a 'ghost model' with no collision detection... then I can move it to some other location that I want. Next, I move Wander to the original 'trigger point' and then use a camera hack to see what happens from the colossus view point... I guess it's hard to explain here, just watch the video and you will see what I mean ; ) Note: the 'beeps' you hear are when the colossus cut scene 'changes' from scene to scene.Enjoy!

Avion is wrapped up in a tight ball... Shadow of the Colossus - Avions arena comparisons Nomad Colossus 2022-05-31 | Just a short video showcasing the comparisons from high above between the retail version (NTSC-US) and the earlier E3 demo. You can see the E3 demo had a lot more platforms and they were not textured. In fact, they look larger than the US version as the water effects were not yet hiding the underwater parts of each platform... at least not from the height I took the screen capture ; ) So they look 'deeper' than they shoud.Again, I'm guessing this was a memory constraint issue that forced Team ICO to remove some of the platforms. Shadow of the Colossus - Avion temple comparisons Nomad Colossus 2022-04-08 | I first saw Avion's E3 temple in the OPM demo (low res only), but at the time (2013) I had no idea that, years later, I would see a hi-res version of this temple in the E3 demo!It was only after I played the E3 (Avion) level that the penny dropped and I realised that this was the original design of the temple. But I later did a huge cleanup and deleted a lot of my earlier videos (as their quality was bad), and this one seemed to have fallen through the cracks...So here it is uploaded again - perhaps some of you may remember this? It's a unique code I found that stablises Wander when using the gravity hack, before this Wander jolted up and down (dangerously) leading to a hard landing and death! Using this stablising code, Wander just hangs in the air smoothly with no up/down movement.So when I use this address in a positive value, Wander gracefully floats up into the air (based on the value i.e. 1 = slow, 6 = faster etc.) I used the value 6 for this video. It was just a throw away mod that I tacked onto the end of this video. Fans seem to love my colossi sizes videos as they are my most popular uploads. But this add on was out of place... we see one of Emon's soldiers running around the Shrine of Worship as if he is Wander! Next we see him at the altar looking down at Mono (as Wander would have done)... pretty weird I guess - not sure what I was thinking at the time ; ) But still cool!

You like that don't you!I think Avion likes to be petted...I made this video a while ago, so I thought it was time to make it public. Wander can pet Avion but there are no 'petting sounds'. So the 'petting sounds' are made via Agro in the temple - hence the silent background with an echo sound. I had to add Agro's petting sounds onto this video to make it seem plausible...

They were in an unplayable state when discovered but Wisi used his knowledge to get them working again.Note: The intro with Dormin I made for fun! It's not part of the test map. Pikol wrote a comment at the time (on the Playstation 2 forums):btw: We all know there isn't a proper way to go to the top of the temple in the full version, no way that seems climbable, no stairs etc. But I think I noticed a way in the Demos (both OPM and PSU) that maybe, could be a way leading somehow to the top!If you don't know who Pikol is, he was making weird glitch videos back in 2008 before I even got started ; ) He discovered the beta Dam during these early days and was one of the players who inspired me to look for secrets in Shadow of the Colossus.

Shadow of the Colossus - Phalanx out of bounds (Part 2) Nomad Colossus 2021-11-15 | I should have added this to Part 1 but I was lazy and forgot! In this video Wander rides the wing of the colossus, then stabs a symbol point (only one of three) to see how the black ink (Dormin spirit) behaves in the wind. You can see it blows off in a stream to the South, and continues to do this for a long while... when the lands disappear, instead of dying, I float down in front of the to F5/E5 fruit tree.

To explain how I did this would not be possible in this short video description, save to say that it's a mod of the 'opening cut scene' of the colossus. Phalanx moves slowly to the NorthEast... until it finally 'unloads' and Wander falls to his death!A weird video for sure... but I hope you like it ; )

Shadow of the Colossus - PS2 PAL top of #8s temple (not possible) Nomad Colossus 2021-11-01 | 'This was the very first thing I ever wanted to achieve way back in July, 2009. Sadly, I only had the PAL PS2 version which (it turns out) is impossible to launch Wander up on top of #8's temple! Note: In the NTSC version it's really easy! So here are some attempts at getting there in the PAL PS2 version. The best I can do is get up to the corner of the temple... sadly there is a void hole there, so Wander falls to his death. This void hole is present in all versions.So not possible in the PS3 version (as this is based on the PAL PS2 version).'But' in the PS4 version it's possible via the extended 'glide function' of the chute - see here:youtu.be/wc4MJ-8BhZANote: If I could just get a little more height it may be possible? Shadow of the Colossus - E3 Demo final cut scene Nomad Colossus 2021-08-30 | Check out Stage 0's new video about this cut scene here:youtube.com/watch?v=i_K2XaLlE5UThis video took me weeks to compile! I had to use the sound files from the NTSC retail version and the Preview version sound files, then cut and paste them into this new (shorter version), so the sound files didn't always match up. So in some instances, I've used music to 'fill the gaps'. There are many and varied differences in this cut scene - a lot of the retail verson stuff is missing - You don't see the final boss statue disappear in a column of light - Emon seems to be having a heart attack in a couple of scenes! There is no evidence of the sword 'spinning' and landing into the floor of the temple... as such, I had to add only the sound and music files that were pertinent to this version.Hope you like it. I didn't have access to Wisi's debug menu (it didn't exist then), so I just used my own methods. You will see I don't have the parachute, or my Moon jump code etc. Also, the video has the orginal aspect ratio.So I just found Wander's gravity codes so I could float around and check out the Shrine of Worship...I was just showing the different temple door design here and the fact that the secret garden doesn't exist in this version. In time I'll be able to do a lot more!
