My First Time Teaching In Over 4 Years Tom Buck 2025-07-02 | I was a teacher for 11 years, but haven't taught high school students in-person since before the pandemic, so it was great to remember how fun it can be! I was able to teach an audio workshop hosted by @rodemic at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival for students who were working to create their own films during the week. There’s still a big gap between a small webcam and something like a full frame mirrorless camera with a nice lens, but if you want something affordable with good image quality and some nifty features like tracking and voice control, the Tiny 2 could be a good choice 4 you. Blindfolded Guitar Test! Tom Buck 2025-05-27 | Can I guess which guitar this is while blindfolded? I’ve had 10 guitars hanging on the wall in my YouTube studio for years and they each have a cool personal history. This is my Surf Green 50’s Strat. I LOVE this color so much and originally put this guitar in my online shopping cart back in 2007, but didn’t actually order it until early 2019. My YouTube channel lost money for the first few years, but I actually made a little bit of money in 2018 and used that for the Strat!As much as I love the 50’s style, the sound wasn’t 100% my thing so I did end up putting a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail pickup in the bridge.

Retro Rewind: Sonys Strange Projector Camcorder Tom Buck 2024-12-05 | This old camcorder ended up being so much more fun than I ever could have expected. The Sony PJ230 was a consumer HD camcorder from 2013 that included a built in projector on the LCD display.
