Today we archive the very first Berserk game on this channel. From what I understand there are currently three Berserk games out there. One for the Dreamcast, one for the PlayStation 2 and one for more recent systems. Sword of the Berserk Guts' Rage was the very first one and released for the Dreamcast.
It tells a seperate side story from the manga and anime series, but feels like a neat little episode that is presented with a lot of cutscenes. The voice acting is all over the place, but I do appreciate how cinematic they wanted to make this for its time. The mandragora monsters are cool and creepy and the enemy variety was also surprisingly good. The boss battles were epic and overall its a pretty solid action game. The only downside is how short it is and probably half of the game you will be watching cutscenes. That means that this game offers roughly an hour of gameplay which is very little.
According to many it is the PlayStation 2 Berserk game that is truly awesome, so I cannot wait to archive that in the future as well.
