After a week in bed with Covid, I needed a warm up walk before doing my penultimate Wainwright - Bowfell. I choose Barrow, Scar Crags and Causey Pike, a walk I had done before and really enjoyed. The forecasted 20C heat turned out to be 29C and I was attacked by a 'killer' swam of heather flies, sent from the bowels of Hell on Barrow summit, which saw me bin the other two Fells and head for the safety of the Coledale Inn for a well needed pint and food!
