Archaeology Southwest's New Mexico Office recently completed a cultural resources survey at El Malpais National Monument, and what they learned goes beyond archaeology. Working alongside Acoma, Zuni, and other Pueblo communities not only revealed the diverse ways Indigenous peoples used this volcanic landscape, but also served as a profound reminder that their connection to this place is eternal.
