So... ok, it's not anime, and I don't care one bit.
During moving, I listened to this song on the radio. At first, I didn't connect WHY I liked this song at all or how its lyrics basically ARE Dean and Castiel in a nutshell. Two weeks ago, I remembered I'd noted it for download and connected all those little dots.
Of course, while I COULD argue it's Destiel, I'll leave it up to your individual interpretations of their relationship.
All I really conveyed is my vision of their relationship: It's not perfection or idealized or forced; it's painful and tragic, and it's so real. Their profound bond survives their deaths and dimensional separations. For a man who didn't believe in faith or God, Castiel revived Dean's faith; for an angel who didn't know freedom and choice, Dean helped Castiel discover purpose.
The ending is based off a little tidbit Jensen said during Jibcon (about Dean crying off-screen).
Personally, I do ship Destiel; however, I'm on board with its SPIRITUAL side. Of course, if they do kiss, I'll be happy; even so, I'd be ok with a love confession because it's more within their characters (especially for Dean). Their relationship really doesn't NEED physical clarification for my happiness. Thought I'd give my opinion.
