Use Headtrack ML in Silhouette to seamlessly replace facial symbols and perfectly integrate digital makeup. This tutorial shows VFX artists advanced tracking and cleanup techniques.
Our two-part series is a collaborative project between product specialist Christoph Zapletal, tackling VFX inside the plugin version of Silhouette, and design director John Dickinson, who will use Sapphire to create a Japanese horror movie-inspired look.
Part One deep dives into complex retouches, teaching you how to use the powerful Head Track ML feature inside the 3D Scene Node in tandem with the Unwrap and the Rewrap Node.
We’ll cover the tracking workflow and delve deep into compositing techniques inside Silhouette’s node-based system. The nodes featured include everything from Noise Generators and Color Correctors to ML-based tools like Denoise ML.
A special spotlight is put on Silhouette's unique Paint Node and the huge capabilities it brings to After Effects when used as a plugin.
