Sunrise at the Taj Mahal - Worth the 5AM Wake Up?
Day 6 of my India adventure started bright and early with a 5am wake-up for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: sunrise at the Taj Mahal. We arrived just as the first light hit the iconic white marble, and the atmosphere was absolutely magical. I even got a few photos taken by a professional photographer, I can’t wait to collect them later!
After soaking in the beauty of the Taj, we walked back to Taj Hotel for breakfast at 9am, recharging for the rest of the day. At 10.15am, we set off to explore more of Agra, starting with the Baby Taj, followed by some serene gardens, and then the imposing Agra Fort. The architecture and history at each stop were incredible, every corner felt like stepping into India’s royal past.
By the afternoon, we finally reached our hotel, which Arvind called the “best location.” Exhausted from the early start and a full morning of sightseeing, we tried to watch a film but quickly fell asleep. Later, we went out for dinner, it was expensive, but unfortunately a little disappointing.
It was a day full of iconic sights, history, and the magic of Agra, perfectly capped by the unforgettable experience of sunrise at the Taj Mahal.
