Beefy Potato Bake:
about 6 potatoes sliced thin
1 small onion diced
1 lb ground beef
2 cups heavy cream or 1/2 and 1/2
8 oz. shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
4 TBSP butter
4 TBSP flour
garlic, salt, and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350
Spray 9X13 casserole dish with cooking spray
Brown beef and onion
Slice potatoes and layer in pan with meat
Season each layer as you go
Make roux with butter and flour
Add cream until thickened
Remove from heat and add cheese until melted
Pour over potatoes
Bake for 50-60 minutes, until potatoes are soft
