Raceweek is coming in hot, and that means every weak link in the Chevelle's cooling system has to go. In this video, we ditch the factory integrated radiator transmission cooler and install a fully standalone Derale transmission cooler plumbed with PTFE braided AN lines — the right way to cool an automatic transmission under race conditions.
This is a complete standalone transmission cooler install guide for a TH350 automatic, but the process applies to any GM automatic running AN fittings. We cover the specific straight-thread vs. NPT fitting differences, correct AN adapter sizing for the TH350 ports (with part numbers), and a crucial tip about sharp frame edges that will destroy your lines if you miss it.
