Rainbow Rocket - Once is never Oliver Thorpe 2016-02-02 | Rainbow Rocket was my main goal for this winters trip to Fontainebleau. It was a very wet day, but we thought maybe this boulder wouldn't be so wet. We were wrong, but after 15 minutes with towels, toilet paper and chalk we dried it up enough for giving it a shot! I ended up doing it after about 50 minutes of attempts.Coming from parkour, where we have a saying that "once is never", I decided to repeat it. 10 times. Since everything else was wet that day it also seemed like good training. From the first send it took about 40 minutes until I'd done it 11 times! Thanks to Michelle, Thomas Kjær, Lorenz, Pavi (Belmez Face) and Thomas Salakenos for being so patient! 😁Mobile phone died on #10, hence only 10 clips of the send.
Bail Aarhus Gathering 2013 Oliver Thorpe 2016-01-09 | So about two and a half years ago at the yearly Aarhus Gathering I was trying this cat-pre with Jim. I'd bounced it about 10 times already and then this happened. Just a little reminder to everyone to keep concentrating. Even though you feel confident with a move, a little lapse in concentration can be quite painful as it was in this case. I hurt my foot quite badly (if you look at the slowmo part you can see I smash my rear foot pretty hard into the concrete) and had pain in it for quite a few months afterwards. On the upside I got really great ice-cream later that day, so all wasn't bad!
Paris Oliver Thorpe 2011-05-27 | Went to Paris with Gerlev for a week. It was great fun. Lots of good training and great weather. I barely got anything filmed (was too busy training!)...
