Red Special Replica as Brian May first built it Richard Dadd 2016-11-10 | Brian May finished building his famous guitar around 1963. It looked very different in its first draft. Different pickups, different tremolo arm, different knobs, open backed tuners and a built-in Vox fuzzbox. It also proudly displays his initials on the headstock.Brian made these first pickups from scratch, and liked the sound of them, but they made strange noises when he bent a string across the poles. Eventually, he changed to Burns TriSonics - the rest is history.I have recreated his guitar as he first built it, but have sorted the technical problems that dogged his pickups, so it is fully playable.Please excuse my random playing!

Brian May Rock Masterclass 1983 - Part 1 Richard Dadd 2021-08-04 | Capital radio produced a show in London, at the Duke of York theatre, for a series of Guitar Masterclasses. I was lucky enough to be called in as a “student” for this event. As a massive fan, I was overjoyed at the opportunity. This is a much edited final radio broadcast of a total of 52 minutes, from most of an afternoon’s recordings.
