How to spray paint walls and ceiling different colours. Starting with room preparation for painting, masking tips, showing how to use masking tape before spraying trim / woodwork, then airless spray painting walls and ceiling. See how I use the Graco Ultra QuickShot for small jobs — spraying woodwork (trim), followed by a bigger airless paint sprayer — a Graco Classic 395 PC, used to spray paint walls and ceiling different colors.
But first it all starts with a ceiling crack repair — see how to fix a drywall crack in ceiling. For this I’ll be using “Prestonett Flexible Crack Repair Filler” (picked up from Brewers Decorating Centre). Followed up with a 2” (52mm) fibre joint tape to add strength to the ceiling.

The Graco Ultra QuickShot is for small painting projects. It’s a professional airless paint sprayer, and it’s important to understand when to not overwork the QuickShot and opt for a bigger airless paint sprayer..
Here I’m spraying a small area of masonry, applying smooth masonry paint with the Graco QuickShot at LOW pressure, and back rolling. The low pressure is reducing the amount of ‘bounce back’ overspray, yes I’m getting tails, but a nice spray pattern is not important because I’m back rolling with a small rough surface, heavy pile roller 👍 Working at height off a ladder, with the QuickShot using a belt and holster, it’s quicker and easier than using a paint scuttle.. I’m simply delivering paint to the wall.. and it’s quicker spraying those intricate areas 💨🎨
