We're all working together nicely at the start of the wave. It's a shame it kinda starts falling apart within twenty seconds or so, when I struggle to get away from a Flipper with a Steelhead bomb nearby. Still, that could just be a glitch, as everyone pulls together to drop a Lid on the Steelhead and two of us combine to splat a Flyfish, even if it looked like it survived. More Lids are dropped, eggs are dunked, and I nearly hit the drink when I chase a Snatcher. I'm good, though, and even get away from a Stinger I usually don't. But evading a Steel Eel by jumping on to an inked wall doesn't quite go to plan, as I try to avoid some gunk and end up sinking in it. Never mind, we've raked in the eggs. On to the second wave!

I have some Dapple Dualies for high tide. At least I don't need the range with less turf, right? I focus on splatting to start, letting my squidmates deal with eggs, but maybe it's a sign of things to come when I drop down from a Fish Finger and accidentally throw an egg past it from a metre away. Before long, we're down to one inkling! That's me. Thankfully, I have the Wave Breaker and throw one out, which saves our skin, and a few more Special weapons fly out soon after. Okay, we're good, although I mis-time a Steel Eel's passage so badly that I end up in a tight spot, which I'm lucky to get out of. Another Steel Eel problem moments later, as one winds its way to me along a spur, but this is less trouble, as I jump behind it and splat it easily. I hear a Kraken in the distance, and with the basket crowded I throw out my second Wave Breaker, mostly because I mistakenly believe it's the final wave. Don't tell anyone! It does clear the turf, though, and we cram loads of eggs in to the basket again. I'm sure I won't need another Wave Breaker.

The tide goes out a little, and I have a Rapid Blaster. I'm not a fan, but here we go. An early Flyfish is easy, taking care of Chum is important, and I don't quite bring down a Lid from the ground. A squidmate drops a second Lid as I help splat a Steel Eel, and then I'm dodging Flyfish missiles. But not for long! A squidmate has an Inkjet saved for this moment, and both Flyfish are splatted quickly. Nice! I move to try to help a splatted squidmate, and use my range and blasts to almost splat a Fish Finger, before missing a Stinger because I was jumping. I stop jumping and splat the Stinger, but kinda get cornered. I need to manoeuvre a bit to get clear, which turns out not to be that clear, and just when I think I'm back to doing good work, another Flyfish splats me. We're one squid up again, but not for long, and the eggs are hitting the basket. I make a mistake in trying to recover ink in an open spot, and then can't escape when Chum catch up with me, but I'm revived, more eggs hit the basket, and we make it to the end of the wave.

But not the Run! We have Zuna inkoming! High tide too. This shouldn't be terrible, which I disprove really quickly by sitting where I think I'm clear of the Flyfish's exhaust, but I'm really not. I'm revived with an Inkstrike, which splats the Flyfish, and I manage to miss two out of three shots with the eggs. I move across to the other edge, and splat a Lid and half a Flyfish, but the eggs from the Lid don't do much at this range. Back across again, only to be splatted by the Flyfish, and if not that a Smallfry, and if not that then Zuna's belly. Not great positioning. I'm revived as others are splatted, so here comes the bonus Wave Breaker, and a Flipper splat. Back past the basket, and I bring down two Lids, splatting a Fish Finger at the top and a Stinger on the way down. It takes a bit of time, but leaves a bunch of eggs. Now to throw, throw, throw, and follow-up with some shooting. It nearly does the trick, but the splattings and early misses end up costing us a narrow victory. Still, two silver scales is a decent reward.
