In this part, we clear out the first Den of Evil, the Spittle Maze, while collecting Risky's Pistol and defeating the Cyclops Plant. We then get the map to Spiderweb Island and prepare to return to Scuttle Town.

Missile Expansion #6 of 48 - 48:14 Additional Info - The Psychic Boots are equivalent to the Space Jump Boots in that they allow us the ability to double jump. They have a new feature however, which allows us the ability to stand on Psychic Platforms. - Upon getting the Key and leaving Volt Forge, well finally have access to the remainder of Sol Valley. This expansive desert is the hub of all of the regions in the game as well as 99% of the Green Energy Crystals (with the last 1% being the small cluster we found earlier in Fury Green as part of the tutorial). There is quite a bit to talk about when it comes to Sol Valley, and knowing all of it makes this area quite a bit less daunting to look at: - First of all, the desert is a large square or rectangle in shape with one of the five Master Teleport Key regions in each corner (such as Volt Forge in the bottom left), Fury Green is in the center of the left side, and the Chrono Tower from the start of the game is in the center. - At this point in time, well find only a fraction of the games Green Energy Crystals, and theyll all be located in the outer borders of Sol Valley, meaning along the walls of the square. The inner areas of desert will get Green Energy Crystals later on in the game once we start finding new Beam Weapons. There ARE a finite amount of Green Energy Crystals in the game, and collecting every last one is required for 100%, although you only need a set amount to get all of the physical rewards. If you look at your menu where the Green Energy Crystal progress meter and Master Teleporter Keys are stored, you can keep track of roughly how much youve found so far. Filling the container once will make it entirely Green and get you all four Physical Rewards, well then fill it again, but Blue this time to 100%. The Blue Crystal being filled awards Gallery Artwork. There will be an upgrade later on that will make hunting crystals significantly easier, so dont stress too much about dealing with them yet. Another thing to note, is that once a Green Energy Crystal is collected, it will respawn once we reload the game or reload Sol Valley, but as a White Crystal. This shows that it has already been collected before, and smashing a White Crystal will get us Health and Missiles only. Well also find large meteorites of Green Crystal that we cannot deal with just yet as they require a very late game item. My recommendation is to collect the Green Energy Crystals as you encounter them, but dont go out of your way to hunt them just yet. - Throughout the desert well find Kyuveria, a type of plant that grows in the sand. Upon running one over with the Vi-O-La, it will restore one of our Boost Tanks, allowing us instant access to our Boost again (yes there are additional boost tanks out there, but you wont get them for a while). The only other way to build our Boost is to maintain our top speed for a while. - Other points of interest in Sol Valley are the Six Shrines which will upgrade our future Beam Weapons and offer us large Pots of Green Crystals (which are worth FAR more than the crystals in the Valley itself). Four G.F. Debris locations with each of which containing a hidden Expansion of some sort and a Mech Part needed to repair BETSY in the future. Lastly, there is a hidden Save Station underground near the west side of Chrono Tower.$
