Since 1985, VA has hosted the National Veterans Golden Age Games to promote healthy aging, fitness, and the therapeutic value of sports medicine for older Veterans who receive health care at VA facilities. This year, we celebrate 40 years of aging strong.

The Spirit of the Games Award honors the Veterans who bring passion, heart, and camaraderie to the National Veterans Golden Age Games. We celebrate the ones who lift up their fellow athletes, compete with joy, and remind everyone what these games are really about.
